Introduction
Blackwood Health Tracker is an Android health tracking application developed by Blackwood Designs. The application is designed to help users organize and review personal health information, medication information, fitness activity, appointments, emergency information, reminders, and related settings.
This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use Blackwood Health Tracker. A key part of the application's current design is that health and personal information entered into the app is stored locally on the user's device in an account-specific SQLite database rather than intentionally uploaded to a Blackwood Designs server.
Blackwood Health Tracker is a personal health organization and tracking tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional with questions about a medical condition, treatment, medication, or health decision.
Information You Provide
Blackwood Health Tracker can store information that you choose to enter into the application. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

- • Blood Sugar readings
- • Weight readings and related settings
- • Medications, medication schedules, and dose history
- • Fitness exercises and activity
- • Appointments, including information such as names, dates, times, addresses, phone numbers, contacts, and notes that you choose to save

- • Health Profile information
- • Health Guidelines
- • Reminder settings
- • Module preferences
- • Travel Reminder settings
- • Other application settings
You control what information you enter into these fields and features.
Account Authentication
Blackwood Health Tracker uses Firebase Authentication to create and authenticate user accounts. Authentication-related information and account identifiers needed to create or sign in to an account are handled through Firebase Authentication.
Firebase assigns each authenticated account a unique Firebase User ID (UID). Blackwood Health Tracker uses that UID as the stable account identity for local data ownership on the device.
Authentication/account information handled through Firebase is separate from the health and personal information stored in the application's local SQLite database.
Local Health Data Storage
Health and personal information entered into Blackwood Health Tracker is stored locally on the user's device in SQLite databases that are separated by Firebase account.
When different Firebase-authenticated accounts use the same device, each account has its own local database. This separation is intended to prevent one signed-in account from viewing or modifying another account's locally stored Blackwood Health Tracker information.
Blackwood Designs does not intentionally upload the health information listed in this policy to a Blackwood Designs server as part of the application's current operation.
How Information Is Used
Information entered into Blackwood Health Tracker is used to provide the features you choose to use within the application. Examples include displaying health history and statistics, tracking medication schedules and dose completion, calculating fitness totals, organizing appointments, presenting emergency or health-profile information, and providing reminder functionality.
Blackwood Designs does not use the health information you enter into Blackwood Health Tracker for advertising. The application currently does not contain advertising.
Data Sharing
Blackwood Designs does not sell personal information or health information entered into Blackwood Health Tracker.
The application does not intentionally send locally stored health information to Blackwood Designs for advertising or marketing purposes.
Some features allow you to intentionally open another application or service. Information involved in those actions may then be handled by the external application or service you choose to use, as described below.
Third-Party Services
Firebase Authentication: Blackwood Health Tracker uses Firebase Authentication for account creation and sign-in. Authentication information is processed through Firebase, a Google service, according to the terms and privacy practices applicable to that service.
Google Maps: When you choose to open a stored appointment address for navigation, Blackwood Health Tracker can launch Google Maps. Once Google Maps is opened, your use of Google Maps and information processed by Google Maps are governed by Google's own terms and privacy practices. Blackwood Health Tracker does not control how Google Maps handles information after the service is opened.
Phone/Dialer: When you tap a stored appointment phone number, Blackwood Health Tracker can launch the device's phone dialer with that number. Any call you choose to place is handled by your device, telephone service, and applicable service provider rather than by Blackwood Designs.
Notifications and Device Features
Blackwood Health Tracker may use Android notification and reminder functionality to provide medication reminders, appointment-related reminders, travel reminders, and other application reminders that you configure.
The application may also use standard Android device functionality to open the phone dialer or a navigation application when you intentionally select the related appointment feature.
Data Retention / Removal
Locally stored Blackwood Health Tracker information remains in the account-specific application database on the device while that application data remains available.
Android's application storage controls can be used to clear locally stored app data. Uninstalling the application may also remove locally stored application data from the device, subject to Android, device, backup, and restore behavior. Clearing local application data or uninstalling the app does not necessarily delete the Firebase Authentication account or authentication information associated with that account.

Children's Privacy
Blackwood Health Tracker is not designed or directed specifically to children under 13. Blackwood Designs does not knowingly encourage children under 13 to create accounts or enter health information into the application.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child under 13 has created a Blackwood Health Tracker account or provided information through the application, please contact Blackwood Designs so the matter can be reviewed and appropriate action can be taken regarding information within our control.
Security
Blackwood Health Tracker separates locally stored application data by authenticated Firebase account and is designed so that health information remains on the user's device during normal application use.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect access to their Android device and their Blackwood Health Tracker account and should use appropriate device security features available to them.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
Blackwood Designs may update this Privacy Policy when Blackwood Health Tracker changes, when third-party services used by the application change, or when privacy disclosures need to be revised. Updates will be published at this permanent Privacy Policy URL, and the effective date shown above will be updated when appropriate.
